About this file
This is an electrical riser diagram and schedules sheet for the Glendale Fire Station Project prepared for the Walton County Board of County Commissioners, Florida. The document, prepared by Applied Research and Design, Inc. on March 4, 2024, illustrates the fire alarm riser system layout for the 8,120-square-foot pre-fabricated steel and wood fire station facility. The project is located northeast of the intersection of SR-83 and County Highway 2 on a 7.58-acre site. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference was conducted on April 30, 2024, with the final deadline for submitting questions set for May 6, 2024, at 12:00 Noon. Sealed bids were originally due on May 16, 2024, and subsequently extended to May 23, 2024, at 3:00 P.M., with public opening and reading of bids to follow immediately. The project allows 220 calendar days for substantial completion from the Notice to Proceed, with liquidated damages assessed at $1,700 per day for delays in substantial completion and $850 per day for delays in final completion.
The estimated project cost is approximately $2.8 million, with Walton County having fully budgeted the amount for the project. Bidders must be licensed General Contractors in accordance with Walton County Ordinance 2009-01 and are required to submit a 5% bid bond along with performance and payment bonds. The procurement is open to all qualified general contractors with no specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises. Bidders must submit comprehensive documentation including evidence of previous experience, current commitments, drug-free workplace certification, trench safety compliance, and compliance with restrictions on unauthorized aliens. The project requires contractors to obtain a County Building Permit and comply with local vendor preference considerations. Water and sewer services are currently unavailable at the site, necessitating comprehensive infrastructure development as part of the overall project scope.
