About this file
This document is an Addendum No. 2 issued by the City of Casselberry Procurement Division for Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 2019-0502, covering the Howell Park Water Treatment Plant Rehabilitation project located in Casselberry, Florida. The addendum, dated July 22, 2019, provides clarifications and answers to bidder questions without changing the original solicitation due date of August 6, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. local time. The project involves comprehensive rehabilitation of the water treatment plant, including demolition of existing structures, construction of new buildings, installation of new pumps and systems, site restoration, electrical and instrumentation upgrades, and related infrastructure improvements.
The addendum includes key clarifications such as a $50,000 allowance for Duke Energy of Florida associated costs, confirmation that Sanders Company is the exclusive system supplier for instrumentation and controls due to their proprietary Scitext System, and specification that Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) will be furnished by the System Supplier to ensure single-source responsibility. The bid price schedule outlines multiple project groups including general conditions, demolition, structural and mechanical work, and electrical and instrumentation tasks. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of the addendum and are encouraged to provide pricing for an alternate bid item involving additional fencing, tree removal, and water meter relocation, though there is no guarantee the alternate will be awarded.
