About this file

This document is an Amendment (Amendment No. 02) to a federal solicitation for the MI-65 Transfer Piping project at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. The amendment modifies the original solicitation by changing the proposal due date to June 10, 2025, and updating the project scope to remove all work inside both tanks. Specifically, the amendment requires PVC flanges to terminate existing PVC piping 2 feet away from each tank, as indicated by addendum bubbles on the attached drawings and specifications.

The solicitation is a small business set-aside for fabricated pipe and pipe fitting manufacturing (NAICS code 332996), with a small business size standard of $45.0 Million. The project involves demolishing and rebuilding piping connecting two tanks within the MI-65 service building, replacing existing double-wall PVC piping with welded stainless steel piping. Key project requirements include welder qualification, welding inspections, and hydrostatic system testing, with a project timeline ranging from 0 to 105 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
