About this file
This is a Subcontracting Plan form for the City of Austin's Invitation for Bid (IFB) 6200 BYS1062. The document outlines the framework for contractor use of subcontractors under this contract. Use of subcontractors is optional, and any subcontractor engagement requires prior written approval from the City of Austin. If an approved subcontractor must be replaced, the contractor must submit a revised form for City approval before implementing the change. The City of Austin's Small and Minority Business Resources (ASMBR) reviewed this contract to determine if Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MBE/WBE) subcontracting goals could be applied; however, no subcontracting goals have been assigned due to insufficient subcontracting opportunities and insufficient availability of MBE/WBE certified firms.
Although no MBE/WBE subcontracting goals are mandated for this contract, contractors are encouraged to utilize certified Small Business subcontractors, including MBE/WBE enterprises, whenever possible. The form provides space for contractors to identify subcontractors by name, vendor ID code, contact person, email, phone, subcontract amount, percentage of work, description of goods or services, relevant experience, and small business certification details including certifying entity, certification type, certification number, and expiration date. Additional subcontractor information may be provided on supplementary pages as needed.
