About this file

This is a Small Business Preference submittal form for the City of Austin, Texas, related to an Invitation for Bid for Automatic Door Maintenance, Repair, Replacement, and Inspection services. The contract encompasses maintenance, repair, replacement, inspection, and modernization of automatic doors (sliding or swinging motorized doors operated by sensor or button mechanism) for all City departments. The form is optional and allows offerors to voluntarily identify themselves as Small Businesses to receive procurement preference consideration. Participation in the Small Business Preference Program is not mandatory to submit an offer for this solicitation.

The Small Business Preference Program offers full preference to Small Business Primes that hold recognized certifications complying with U.S. Small Business Administration Size Standards, and partial preference to non-Small Business primes that subcontract with Small Businesses comprising at least 5% of the total contract value. The City of Austin recognizes specific certifications for Small Business determination and may verify certification status by contacting the certifying entity. Offerors must accurately represent their Small Business status and subcontractor certifications; misrepresentation may result in withholding of preference, disqualification from the contract, or contract voidance if discovered post-award. Offerors selecting Small Business status must complete the certification section indicating their certifying entity name, certification number, and expiration date, or alternatively, submit a completed Subcontracting Plan if using Small Business subcontractors.
