About this file

This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) attachment document prepared by the City of Austin, Texas, specifically for Austin Water Waste Treatment Plants. The procurement seeks delivery of a 38% sodium bisulfite solution supplied in 330-gallon intermediate bulk containers (totes) on an as-needed basis. The document establishes the technical specifications and delivery requirements for this water treatment chemical, with bidders required to submit proposals by the stated deadline. The contract term and any renewal options are contingent upon the needs of Austin Water's treatment facilities, with delivery expected to multiple treatment plant locations throughout the Austin area.

The pricing structure for this procurement is based on a unit price per tote delivered, with the total contract value dependent on the volume of sodium bisulfite solution required during the contract period. Austin Water reserves the right to award the contract to one or multiple vendors based on competitive bidding. The document outlines specific technical requirements for the chemical solution, including purity standards and container specifications to ensure compatibility with treatment plant equipment and processes. Bidders must demonstrate capability to meet delivery schedules and maintain consistent product quality standards as specified in the bid documents.
