About this file

This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) attachment document for the City of Austin, Texas, specifically for Sodium Bisulfate procurement (IFB 2200_BYS1051REBID). The City of Austin Water Utility seeks to procure a 38% sodium bisulfite solution delivered in 330-gallon intermediate bulk containers (totes) on an as-needed basis to support Austin Water Waste Treatment Plants. The procurement is structured as a rebid, indicating this is a reissued solicitation following a previous bidding cycle. The contract will be awarded to qualified vendors capable of providing reliable delivery services to multiple treatment facilities operated by Austin Water.

The contract is anticipated to operate on a term basis with pricing to be established through the competitive bidding process, with vendors submitting sealed bids in response to the IFB requirements. Successful bidders must demonstrate capacity to meet the chemical specifications for the 38% sodium bisulfite solution and maintain consistent delivery schedules to treatment plant locations throughout the Austin service area. This procurement supports critical water treatment operations, and bidders should be prepared to provide detailed pricing, delivery logistics, product certifications, and evidence of compliance with all applicable environmental and safety regulations governing the handling and delivery of chemical treatment solutions.
