About this file

This is a Solicitation Addendum (Addendum No. 1, dated May 26, 2026) issued by Austin Financial Services - Central Procurement for Invitation for Bid (IFB) 2200 BYS1051REBID, involving the City of Austin, Texas, for the supply of sodium bisulfite solution to Austin Water Waste Treatment Plants. The contract will provide 38% sodium bisulfite solution delivered in 330-gallon intermediate bulk containers (totes) on an as-needed basis to Walnut Creek WWTP. The addendum clarifies delivery requirements, specifying that the plant maintains a 15-day supply of sodium bisulfite in on-site storage, with the facility consuming an average of 7,425 gallons of chemical daily. Chemical orders and deliveries will be scheduled to replenish storage while maximizing truck delivery capacity, with emergency quantities ordered as needed. All other terms and conditions from the original solicitation remain unchanged. Offerors must acknowledge this addendum by signing and returning one copy with their bid response prior to the solicitation closing date; failure to do so may result in rejection of the offer.

The addendum also addresses a bidder's inquiry regarding the previous solicitation by providing a reference link to the bid tab from the prior IFB 2200 KMF1023 solicitation, allowing potential bidders to review historical pricing and competitive information. No specific pricing terms, set-asides, award dates, contract term, renewal options, or funding amounts are detailed in this addendum.
