About this file
This is Addendum 1 to Invitation for Bids 017-22 issued by Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) in Jonesboro, Georgia, modifying the original solicitation released on June 30, 2022. The addendum replaces the original Scope of Services and Specifications in their entirety to add MERV 8 HVAC filters to the existing MERV 10 filter requirements. Bidders have the option to submit bids for either or both filter types. The specifications detail performance characteristics for filters in three nominal sizes (24"x24"x½", 24"x24"x1", and 24"x24"x2") with rated air flow capacities of 1,200 CFM and specific resistance and arrestance ratings according to ASHRAE 52.1-92 testing standards. Physical characteristics include detailed requirements for media weight, fiber composition, binder type, color identification, and tackifier treatment, with MERV 8 filters distinguished by blue tinting and MERV 10 filters by orange tinting. A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference was scheduled for July 12, 2022, at 10:30 A.M. EST via Zoom. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum by completing, signing, and returning the acknowledgement sheet with their bid submission, with failure to do so potentially resulting in proposal rejection.
Bidders are required to submit one ASHRAE 52.1-1992 test report from an independent, commercially operated test laboratory or a test lab operating under ISO 9000 quality/business system standards with documented procedures and audited calibration systems. Filters must be packaged and delivered in cardboard boxes separated by school with clear labeling requirements including the school name and address in 3" letters applied to the top and sides of each box. Shipping containers must include the school name and address, brand name, nominal filter size, quantity of filters per carton, and manufacturer name. The revised Bid Cost Form, attached separately, incorporates the addition of MERV 8 filters to the pricing structure.
