| 488 | In Attachment 21, the Government has listed the total number of DES Users across five DAFAs (DMEA, DTIC, DMA, DPAA and DISA) to be 3,646 when we believe that there are more than 20k users across these five DAFAs. | 489 | I have a follow-up question regarding DES RFP. I previously asked about the DES APL HW list (attached) and how a vendor would get added to this list. |
I asked that question with the thinking that DES would be required to purchase hardware off the HW list that was provided in the RFP (attached).
In the Q&A (attached), the instructions are to reach out to disa.meade.ie.list.approved-products-certification-office@mail.mil Below is that email thread where we reached out to that group, and as you can see they think the overall DISN APL is the approved HW list.
So, the question is, what is the guidance you have for a vendor that wants to me able to be considered for DES Hardware purchases?
What certification/hardware list do they need to be listed on?
Reading Library 12 - Equipment Management Consolidated Product List (2020) The Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) Approved Products List (APL) is the single consolidated list of products that have completed Cybersecurity (CS) and Interoperability (IO) certification. The DoDIN APL process is used to test and certify products that affect communication and collaboration across the DoDIN. All requests to put additional products on the DoDIN APL originate with the vendor using the DoDIN APL Submission Templates found at https://aplits.disa.mil.
| Reading Library 12 - Equipment Management Consolidated Product List is based on the DoDNet Equipment Management Catalog; it is intended to provide vendors with a listing of possible equipment which would require network support and sustainment under the DES contract.
