About this file

This is a bid sheet for hauling services issued by the County of Solano, California, Department of Resource Management, Public Works Division. The County seeks trucking company bidders to provide hauling and delivery services for road materials from eight designated plant locations (Capay, Esparto, Madison, Cache Creek, Woodland, Napa, Lake Herman in Vallejo, and Sacramento) to four County Corporation Yards (Dixon, Vacaville, Fairfield, and Rio Vista). Materials to be hauled include aggregates such as road base, engineered rock, screenings, sand, and other non-asphalt materials, with an estimated total quantity of approximately 9,000 tons over the contract period. The contract runs from January 1, 2026, through June 30, 2026. Bid questions were due by December 1, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., with responses provided by December 8, 2025. The final bid submission deadline is December 18, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, with contractor selection scheduled for December 22, 2025.

Bidders must provide firm, fixed per-ton pricing for hauling and delivery services only, as the County purchases all materials separately from quarries or plants and material costs shall not be included in bids. Quoted prices must remain firm and fixed for the entire six-month period. All applicable discounts must be applied at the time services are rendered with invoices clearly reflecting any discounts provided. Bidders may offer prompt payment discounts for payment within the standard net 30-day term. Prevailing wage requirements are not in effect for this portion of the bid. No specific set-asides for disadvantaged enterprises are mentioned in the bid sheet. Contractors must meet comprehensive insurance requirements, comply with California State Division of Industrial Safety orders, OSHA, DOT, and California Vehicle Code requirements, and be registered with the County as vendors holding necessary business licenses.
