This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for the MNOC Classroom Upgrade federal contract opportunity, solicitation number H92257-25-R-E006. The Q&A covers detailed specifications for a classroom infrastructure upgrade at Building RR425, Camp Lejeune, NC, including requirements for student work centers, network infrastructure, electrical services, and flooring. Key details include installing 20 student work centers with 72x30 tables and monitor shelves, implementing network drops with quad data jacksets, re-routing existing electrical circuitry, replacing entire floor carpeting with commercial-grade 2'x2' squares, and configuring 24 floor boxes with green and red network connections. Q&A
MNOC CLASSROOM UPGRADE
RFQ H92257-25-R-E006
28 APRIL 2025
Question Number:
RFI
Document Para./ Section Questions/Comments
(1)
Q: For SOW task 5.1.1, it states Vendor shall provide and install twenty (20) Student work centers that shall have at minimum 6-foot Bar as a top to each Work Center. Is this a support bar or a small shelf that sits several inches above the main work center top?
Government Response: Sits above the main work center top.
(2)
Q: Can an example picture be provided showing what the student work center and 6-foot Bar should look like?
Government Response: We don’t have any photo’s available but in short, the monitor stand and/or bar should be the length of the table and sit around 4” – 6” or more above the actual student table.
(3)
Q: For SOW task 4.1.3, it states Vendor shall reutilize existing couplers at all network termination locations. I believe this was meant to say Vendor shall reutilize existing floor boxes with new couplers at all termination locations.
Please confirm.
Government Response: Yes – with a caveat. If the existing coupler is completely serviceable, I have no issue reusing
it. However, if it is no longer usable, replace it. My preferred action is to replace all of them with MAX JACKS.
(4)
Q: For SOW task 2.1.4, it states Vendor shall provide and install one (1) 12 outlet SurgeX Suppressor (or equivalent) per network cabinet. Neither SurgeX nor Zero Surge suppressors make 12 outlet 1RU units. Will 10 outlet surge protectors work for the small cabinets?
Government Response: 10 Outlet will work perfectly.
(5) Q: Network Drops: How many drops are planned per location? Specifically, is it two drops per network per location, totaling 48 drops per network?
Government Response: Every Unclass and Classified box will have a QUAD data jackset.
(6)
Q: Objective 3 - Fiber Length: Could the Government please provide the total length of fiber required for the installation?
Government Response: We don’t have that exact information. My best guess would be 100ft from Comm Room to Classroom. 250 feet from Antenna Pad to Comm Room. Keep in mind, this is just a best guess.
(7)
Q: Objective 5 - Student Work Center: Could the Government please provide more detailed information regarding the student work center setup?
Government Response: Good sturdy 72x30 table with a top bar or monitor shelf. No wheels. What other information is needed?
(8) Q: Ceiling Specifications: Could the Government please confirm the ceiling heights and ceiling types within Building RR425?

Government Response: Ceiling tile drop in Grid (2x2 squares). That space has an 8’ ceiling.
(9)
Q: Objective 1 and Section 5.1.3: Are we only replacing select flooring tiles, or are we removing and replacing all flooring throughout the entire classroom?
5.1.1 Government Response: The entire floor carpet. Vendor shall provide and install new flooring squares of a darker color that is commercial grade (2’x2’) for Classroom. Vendor shall provide separate line item for room paint. Color and style of the carpet shall be Preapproved by Government TR prior to execution.
(10)
Q: Objective 1 Section 5.1.4: Are we rerouting the existing electrical supply, or are we installing entirely new electrical lines to each of the 20 workstations?
5.1.2 Government Response: Re-routing the existing circuitry already in the floor. 5.1.5: Vendor shall provide and install electrical service within the classroom at each student work center. Services can be ‘pulled” from existing electrical services within the existing Free Axez flooring. NOTE: Power shall exist in both the Unclass and Classified Floor boxes. Each Floor Box shall have a dedicated 20Amp circuit.
(11)
Q: Confirming the pdf (MNOC Classroom Sample Drawing) is the correct updated drawing. There was an onsite change to just 24 floor boxes and only 1 red and 1 green network per workstation row.
Government Response: You are correct. We did not send an updated drawing, but you got it, there will only be 1 Green Box, and 1 Red Box per two tables. Both boxes will have electrical.
