About this file

The file is a Scope of Work and Request for Bid (RFB) document from the Clay County Board of County Commissioners in Florida for the Fire Station 18 parking lot renovation project. The project involves the removal of approximately 4,525 square feet of existing asphalt parking lot and base materials at Fire Station 18, located at 207 Blanding Blvd in Orange Park, and the installation of a new concrete parking lot matching the current layout. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for July 08, 2025, at 1:00 PM, and the project requires a Florida-licensed contractor to complete all work within 45 days after the Notice to Proceed (NTP), with the fire station remaining fully operational during construction.

The project specifications include detailed requirements for permits, site preparation, utility coordination, demolition, concrete installation (4500 PSI fiber-reinforced concrete), site restoration, and quality control measures. The bid process includes strict communication guidelines prohibiting bidders from contacting county employees during the bid period, with all inquiries to be submitted through the RFB's Question and Answer tab. The county has a local preference policy and Buy American policy, and the final bid award will be posted on the county's procurement website. Bidders must comply with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and provide site-specific safety training, with the county reserving the right to reject any and all bids without cause.
