About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation FA850125Q0009 for the LCMC EBUG Lab Wall and Flooring Renovation project at Robins AFB. The document clarifies that the project involves installing 18 linear feet of DIRTT moveable walls in an L-shape configuration, with one sliding door large enough to accommodate lab equipment movement. The walls will extend from floor to ceiling (approximately 11'4" height) and will be solid walls without glass. The project also includes electrical connections and luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring installation.

The document indicates that site visits are required and must be coordinated through Captain Calvin Garcia. While no specific cost estimate or definitive start date is provided, the Air Force hopes to award the contract by mid-February, with the period of performance beginning upon award. The Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is the contracting agency for this commercial, competitive procurement.

4. After speaking with multiple contractors and reviewing the SOW, they have all requested the Layout of the walls that is wanted (L shape,Straight,U shape) and position of door and a floor plan and dimensions of the room in which the walls and floors are to be installed. I am unable to find these details in the documents provided on Sam. I apologize if I missed them. If not could you please send me the information so I may quote the contract as accurate as possible.

a) In total it’s 18 linear feet, in an L shape, with most of it being one long straight shot, and then a small portion to connect with an existing wall.

1. We have added an additional attachment for the layout for your reference, but please keep in mind that the goal was to plan site visits with the requirement owner to clarify such information.

5. The DIRTT spec calls out an 8’H horizontal reveal with a solidstory. Does the wall height stop at 8’H or does it go all the way to the ceiling?

a) All the way to the ceiling.

6. Are all walls to be solid/ no glass?

a) Solid walls.

7. The floorplan shows double doors. Pleas confirm that only 1 sliding door is needed.

a) Correct, 1 sliding door it needs to be a large size that will accommodate moving lab equipment in and out without issue.

8. Should we assume the overall ceiling height is 11’-4” as listed on the floorplan then?

a) +/- 1”
