About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) addendum for a federal solicitation (FA822426Q0008) for water/ice machine maintenance and repair services. The solicitation covers preventive maintenance and repair of approximately 27 Manitowoc water/ice machines for the 309 AMXG (Air Mobility Experiment Group), with a five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) and a $25,000 per-call limit. Key requirements include providing a methodology demonstrating at least five years of maintenance experience with similar machines, submitting post-service work reports, and complying with safety and security protocols. The current incumbent holds BPA number FA8224-21-A-0001.

The Q&A addresses various technical and procedural aspects, including filter specifications (with accompanying images of existing filters), service response windows (2 business days during normal hours), materials repair category pricing tiers, and technician qualification standards. Notably, OEM-authorized technician status is not required, but contractors must demonstrate capability and experience. The government will not conduct a site visit, and potential contractors are directed to review the Machine Make/Listing posted on SAM.GOV. Contractors are responsible for ensuring employee safety compliance with OSHA and Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) requirements, and will be escorted through 309 AMXG areas during service visits.
