Q&A’s (1.27.2015) Questions 50-53
*Note: The Question # 40, listed below, is to correct the answer given on Question #40 on the Q&A’s posted on 1.15.2015.
Question #40: Many question are being asked about items not listed in the provide KC-135 Block 45 Master Material List. Is it correct that the only items required in the ""A"" Kit are those listed in the provided excel file? Also, Is it correct to assume the Total Usage is the Quantity required per ""A"" Kit?
Answer #40: The Master Material List (MML) is for reference only. It is not intended to be a complete list of all the items required. Some items specified in the drawings may not be included in the MML. Similarly, Total Useage, as reflected in the MML, is not necessarily the total quantity required per A Kit.
Question #50: The following list of drawings are missing (for ease of reference, the number listed in parentheses are the next higher level drawings): 425-1019-000 (818-3800-008), 580-0025-01 (818-3781-009), 580-5168-000 (818-3780-008), 580-5322-001 (818-3789-003), 839-5401-001 (818-3781-004), 353-0320-030 (818-3779-002 rev T sheet 6, line 44 in the BOM).
Answer #50: The drawing # 425-1019-000 (818-3800-008) is correctly identified as 435-1019-000 and is included in the technical drawing attachments to the solicitation. The drawing # 839-5401-001 (818-3781-004) is correctly identified as 839-5402-001 and is also previously attached. Drawing #’s 435-1019-000 and 839-5402-001 are also attached. 353-0320-030 is a part number for a diode which is a 1N5811. The diode is a Commercial Item and a drawing is not needed.
Question #51: None of our supplier base can come up with identfying the below items as good part numbers. I have included the assembly cable the details goes into. Is there cross-reference numbers or are these parts obsolete? 818-3779-003, H/U M27/59-07 Transformer, 818-3800-032, 208-0104-020 Solder Sleeve, 424-0966-010 Cable.
Answer #51: For M27/59-07 Transformer use: Part Number: MIL-T-27/59 (NSN: 5950-01-104-4447); For 208-0104-020 Solder Sleeve use: Part Number: D-106-6012 (NSN: 5940-01-074-8645); 818-3779-003 is the top drawing identifying the transformer (M27/59-07); 818-3800-032 is the top drawing identifying Solder Sleeve (208-0104-020); 818-3800-032 is the top drawing identifying Cable (424-0966-010);
