Vehicle Patrol Kit Questions & Answers
1. Please take a look at the requirements for the Rechargeable Heavy Duty Flashlight/Spotlight. We believe your specs are combining characteristics of the old Pelican lights with the new. For example the new LED lights do not have the thermoplastic rubber shroud. We recommend dropping the thermoplastic shroud in the description.

Answer: Line PK 8.22 was added in error and has been removed. The solicitation has been amended and a revised Attachment 09 was attached to the solicitation.
3. Please verify offerors are to put the total proposed price on the Technical Acceptability Checklist.

Answer: Don't understand the question, both the salient characteristics and acceptability checklist requires "2 Pairs Nitrile Gloves (Large) 13 mil thick".
5. Please clarify which ANSI/ISEA 107 or ANSI/ISEA 207 standard applies to the reflective vest. We understand the Class II requirement however 107 or 207 have different requirements for compliance in regards to first responders.
*After additional Government research, please see revised answer below:
Revised Answer: The government requires a safety vest that meets ANSI/ISEA standards, 107 Class 2 or 207. Revised Salient Characteristics and Acceptability Checklist attached.
6. Is there a minimum award figure for this LEE category (i.e. SF Center Air Force wide purchase) to accomplish the annual numbers?
31 October 2014
Answer: The minimum award is the $3,000 Post Award conference. Once the minimum guarantee is fulfilled, the Government is released from any and all liability under this contract.
7. In regards to the salient characteristic requirement of “vinyl coated mesh fabric” on the safety vest, our suppliers relay vinyl coating on mesh material would make any vest product non ANSI class 2 compliant. We believe the government should look at the ANSI standard for first responders, in particular the type material and refine the salient characteristic to either an athletic grade mesh or solid fabric.
Answer: "Vinyl coated" requirement has been removed.
8. Requesting a 10 day extension to the closing date to provide adequate samples of the Safety vest pending your determination on the type fabric and/or the ANSI Class and Standard.
