A3.1.1 The contractor will prepare and deliver a lesson overview for each academic lesson identified in each course syllabus.
A3.2 Authoritative reference. AFPD 36-22, AFI 36-2201, AFH 36-2235.
A3.3 Format. The report shall be in contractor format subject to the approval of the COR.
A3.4 Content. The report will include the following:
A3.4.1 The lesson overview is a specific listing of all of the particulars of a lesson as it appears in the academic inventory of a syllabus and provides the tie in of the student centered objectives.
A3.4.2 As a minimum, the lesson overview will include the lesson number, lesson title, lesson office of primary responsibility (OPR), the courses that include the lesson, the primary instructor, the secondary instructor, the lesson duration, the instructional type(s) in the lesson, the security classification, the lesson description, the behavioral objectives, references available for the student to review lesson material, and special classroom requirements necessary to aid instruction.
A3.5 Relationship with other documents.
A3.5.1 The syllabus academic inventory identifies lessons by number, title, description, instructional mode, and duration. Each identified lesson will have a Lesson Overview.
A3.5.2 Each objective will be supported by lesson behavioral objectives (samples of behavior).
A3.5.3 The Lesson Overview has no separate existence of its own but is an integrated part of the Lesson Plan and Study Guide for a lesson.
A3.5.4 Changes in the numbers of courses that include a particular lesson, or changes in the primary or secondary instructor can result in frequent reviews of Lesson Overviews. Generally these reviews coincide with the generation of the Lesson Plan and Study Guide for a lesson.
A3.6 Frequency and milestones. Because lesson overviews have no separate existence from the lesson plan and study guides, the frequency of producing updated lesson overviews is directly related to the frequency of producing lesson plans and study guides—they are produced as required by work order.
