About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract solicitation RH – Base Course - AVON PARK FA481426Q0010. The document addresses five inquiries regarding material delivery and project specifications at Avon Park.
Regarding material specifications, crushed concrete (recycled concrete aggregate) is acceptable provided it consists of previously hardened Portland cement or concrete containing pozzolanic binder material, maintains constant gradation, and is free of reinforcing steel, bituminous concrete surfacing, and foreign materials. The work scope involves stockpiling material rather than spreading. Operations are conducted during working hours of 0600 to 1700. There are no required specifications for dump truck types used in deliveries. Material delivery requirements establish a minimum of 500 tons per eight-hour period with no maximum limit, as the government has ample space available for stockpile placement.
