The description and reporting requirements in section 01 45 00.00 10 necessitates they be separate, e.g. CQC System Manager reports to the superintendent, and Safety and Health Manager reports to a project official independent of the CQC System Manager. A revised section 01 45 00.00 10 is provided with part 3.4.2 changed to remove ambiguity. Change is identified with a line in the left margin.

j. Question 10: Spec: 09 29 00, Topic: Sound Rated Assembly testing: Please confirm, is it required that the sound rated assembly field testing agency be hired directly by the prime contractor, as opposed to being hired by the drywall contractor? Would the third-party testing requirement disallow the prime contractor to self-perform the construction of sound rated assemblies, as this would mean the testing agency is directly hired by the contractor performing the work?
Response: The specifications do not dictate who hires the testing agency, so the performing contractor can hire the testing agency.
