Site Visit Questions

1. Who is responsible for locates and possible cut damaged lines/conduit the contractor or government and where is that direction in the specifications or solicitation?

The contractor will be responsible for utility locates and any damaged lines/conduits. Clin AG specifies utility locations are to be included. Two places in the specs we refer to the gov't completing the utility locates... Section 01 00 00, page 10, 3.21.1 and 31 00 00, page 1, 3.1.

2.If lines /conduit require relocation who is responsible?

The government will be responsible for relocation if required.

3.Will security force (guards) be required for all sites?

The government will make all efforts possible to have guards available for all sites.

4.Will any fill material need to be supplied from offsite sources?

No. The intent of the project is to use on-site material to complete the grading.

5.What exactly is required for "animal barrier reattachment"?

Per clin AA, reattach using steel 9 gauge "hog rings" at a maximum spacing of 18" center to center.

6.Will sites be scheduled in close proximity to minimize travel time and fuel costs?

Yes, to the maximum extent possible.
