About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract GHLN 26-6277, issued by the 90th Missile Wing (AFGSC) of the Department of the Air Force on April 15, 2026. The document addresses a clarification regarding the scope of work for replacing site lighting electrical conduits at five launch facilities.
The single question addressed concerns the conduit specifications outlined in Item C of the Statement of Work. The original requirement called for 1½ inch PVC coated rigid conduit running from the load service box (LSB) to the light pole and from the LSB to the switch. The contractor questioned whether existing conduit sizes could be maintained by intercepting the conduit outside the LSB wall rather than replacing with the larger 1½ inch specification. The Contracting Officer, Kyra Niece, SSgt, USAF, approved this alternative approach, authorizing ¾ inch conduit for the LSB-to-switch run and 1 inch conduit for the LSB-to-light pole run, matching the existing installed sizes.

MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD
FROM: 90 CONS/PKAB
SUBJECT: GHLN 26-6277 Replace Site Lighting Electrical Conduits at 5 LFs, Attachment #7 - Questions & Answers
Q1 – SOW, Item C in the scope of work calls for 1 ½ PVC coated ridged conduit from LSB to pole and LSB to switch. The existing conduit from the LSB to pole is 1” conduit, and the conduit from the LSB to switch is ¾” conduit. We are asking if we can intercept the conduit with the same size from outside the wall of LSB to the pole and switch with same size conduit. Please advise
A – We are in agreement with this course of action, ¾ conduit LSB to switch and 1” conduit LSB to Light pole.
Kyra Niece, SSgt, USAF Contracting Officer
