Air Force Instruction (AFI) 36-2644, Self-Aid Buddy Care, 19 August 2014, will be revised with TCCC training once the curricula are complete. Until the AFI for TCCC training is published, commanders will proceed with the execution of the attached OAF TCCC ASM Implementation Training Plan.
While the effort to reduce requirements is intended to maximize unit effectiveness, commanders arc reminded intelligent, sensible training remains an indispensable responsibility of Air Force and Space Force commanders. Execution ofTCCC /\SM training supports one of the Squadron Revitalization Implementation Plan lines of effort, "focus on the mission," and enhances readiness and lethality.

6. CONCLUSION
The DAF recognizes balancing risk, cost, and benefit is crucial to being good stewards of the resources at our disposal, to include the valuable time of Airmen and Guardians. To implement the intent of DoDI 1322.24, the risks have been evaluated and accepted. White the effort to reduce requirements is intended to maximize unit effectiveness, intelligent, sensible training remains an indispensable responsibility of Air Force and Space Force commanders.
Commanders have the discretion to train their Airmen and Guardians as they deem necessary when local conditions or mission requirements demand additional or enhanced training.
Execution of the TCCC ASM training supports one of the Squadron Revitalization Implementation Plan lines of effort - focus on the mission - and enhances readiness and lethality.
