About this file
This document contains a set of Questions and Answers (Q&A) related to Solicitation FA442724R0019 for the B10 Windows project at Travis AFB, CA. The key details are:
The solicitation is for the replacement of approximately 16 windows in the Control Tower (CAB) and other windows on the 6th and 8th floors of Building 10 at Travis AFB. The contractor will need to perform leak testing, address any asbestos/mold issues, and install new dual window shades on the 8th floor. Design drawings will be required for any window removal or exterior surface repairs. The contractor should assume all windows need to be completely replaced.
The solicitation requires dark brown tinted, dual-pane insulated glass windows. Work is to be performed while the CAB remains operational, with the contractor needing to coordinate with users and start work as early as possible to avoid conflicts. A crane, boom lift, and laydown yard may be required, which the contractor must request and obtain approval for. No window screens are needed. The contractor's proposed phasing plan should address the project requirements.
