SCOPE OF WORK
Project Name: Flight line Control Tower Windows

1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
1.1 The contractor (Ktr) shall provide all design, labor, materials, and supervision to demolish and replace and existing windows at Building 10. There are 11 windows to be replaced in the tower and 26 windows in the cab at the top of the control tower. Contractor shall comply with most recent codes and standards to include:

Contractor shall have approved drawings and submittals for all materials prior to any new work or installation of equipment, including accessory items. Contractor shall review existing as-built drawings and make corrections to apply with proposed new scope designs with final review by government for approval. All work must comply with environmental laws and regulations, including abatement of any hazardous materials. All work to be completed, is to be coordinated through CE with flight control tower so that they may continue work while construction is taking place.
2. TESTING
2.1 Contractor to conduct Hazardous testing of lead and asbestos immediately after the notice to proceed and prior to mobilization.
3. DEMOLITION
3.1 Demolish old windows, approximately 3’6” x 3’ 10” in size, on 6th and 8th floor of the tower.
6th floor has 4 west facing windows within the entire window assembly. 8th floor has 7 south facing windows within the entire window assembly that need to be replaced. Tower cab consists of 26 windows to be removed for replacement, approximately 6’x 7’ Gypsum board around windows will need to be removed where needed for construction and damaged from water intrusion as well as stucco siding which is an estimated 322SQF.

4.1 Replace all windows at top of flight tower in cab. All 26 windows to be replaced shall meet UFC 4-133-01 requirements as well as UFC 4-010-01. The following additional windows shall meet the UFC requirements as well, 4 west facing windows on the 6th floor, and 7 south facing windows on the 8th floor. Windows on the 6th and 8th floor shall be replaced in kind to match existing windows. Patching and repair of stucco and dry wall where demolition occurred shall be completed and finished with color to match existing finishes.
