FA441920Q00003 – Questions 6:
The following questions were submitted in regards to REVISED Attachment 2 – Bid Schedule updated 01 Dec 2020.
Question 1:
REVISED Attachment 2 - Bid Schedule updated 01 Dec 2020, did not solve the issue, only made it worse or more confusing.
FOR EXAMPLE: CLIN 0014 now has a place for separately pricing for periodic work, however the square footage is the same for all items, i.e. 502,895 sq. ft. for strip and wax and 502,895 for carpet cleaning. If we were to price one at 0.15 and one at 0.25 then it is more than doubles the price of the contract values. There should be SF for tile floors and
SF for Carpets, as this is the same in all the Periodic Service CLINS.
o Attachment 2 has been reformulated and these changes can be seen in Attachment
2 – Bid Schedule UPDATED 14 Dec 2020.
o All the formulas should work correctly. However, it should be noted that the total amounts are estimates only. The amount that matters is the unit pricing, since the square footage of each building and the level of services may change. The unit price is what used to calculate changes.
Question 2:
Please clarify the top line unit prices for CLINs X013 through X018. The formulas for the top line price per unit (unit is square foot/month) are summations of the subCLIN
Prices per Unit (subCLINs A through F depending on the CLIN). This sum is multiplied by the top line square footage and 12 months to obtain the total price for each of these
CLINs. However, because the subCLIN square footages are mostly not the same as the top line CLIN square footage, the top line price determined in this manner is not an accurate estimate of the combined prices of the subCLINs.
