About this file
This Pre-Proposal Addendum 02 relates to two construction projects at Joint Base Charleston: Project DKFX 1052062 (Repair Maintenance Dock, B578) and Project DKFX 1069806 (Repair IMC Pavements, Area F). The addendum provides several key modifications, including drawing and specification updates, and clarifications on project requirements. Significant changes include deleting the Bonded Security Guards requirement, noting an existing 400-gallon HEF tank is full, modifying door hardware specifications, and allowing alternative surface preparation and coating methods for metalwork (accepting surface tolerant polyamide epoxy primer instead of inorganic zinc primer, with surface prep downgraded from SSPC-SP-10 to SSPC-SP-1/2/3 standards).
The project, solicited by the Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command under Solicitation Number FA441825R0002, requires the contractor to provide labor, equipment, materials, and supervision to complete repairs at the maintenance dock and IMC pavements. Notable additional requirements include installing door switches on hangar doors to disable infrared heaters when doors are open, preserving existing door frames, and maintaining the existing automatic wet-pipe sprinkler system. The project is scheduled for completion by 06 Mar 2025, with revised technical specifications and drawings attached to the addendum.
