Landscape Refresh – Questions & Answers 16 Aug 24

Q1. Will a tax-exempt certificate be issued to the awardee?

A1. No certificate will be issued, this contract is not tax-exempt. Typically, any local, state, federal taxes will be included in your quote.

Q2. Will any permits be required?

A2. Yes, upon award, the contractor will be required to submit the dig permit prior to beginning work. It takes about 2 weeks for the permit to be approved. The awardee will have to go to the CE office to submit one.

Q3. Will someone be available to allow us to turn on the system in order to determine whether modifications of existing irrigation or instillation of new irrigation will be required?

A3. No, it has been deemed that modification to or new installation of irrigation is not required and will no longer being considered as a part of this contract, as stated in the revised SOW. Irrigation is no longer being requested.

Q4. Is any turf repair needing to be done if we’re removing the Oaks? The grass in that area is in poor condition and the heavy equipment needed to do tree removal will leave it in even poorer condition.

A4. Any damage to the property, made by the contractor in the process of work, will need to be repaired. The contractor shall leave the area in the same or better condition than how they found it.
