STATEMENT OF WORK
HQ AFSOC LANDSCAPING UPGRADE PROJEST
16 August 2024
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary to provide all landscaping upgrades associate with the Air Force Headquarters Special Operation Command (HQ AFSOC) facility on Hurlburt Field, FL. The HQ AFSOC facility current landscape does not appropriately reflex the image of a MAJCOM.
1.1. BASIC SERVICES.
1.1.1 The contractor shall remove all exist white rock from the north and south sides of the HQ AFSOC facility.
1.1.2 The contractor shall remove/replace damaged plant bed edgers and reinstall all existing edgers that are in good repair.
1.1.3 The contractor shall extend the plant bed on the northside of the building four (4) additional feet from the existing building wall.
1.1.4 The contractor shall remove five (5) Crape Myrtle and four (4) Oak trees located on the north side of the building. The trees slated for removal will be identified with a red ribbon. All stumps need to be removed in a manner that permanently prevents future growth.
1.1.5 The contractor shall remove ten (10) Crape Myrtle tree stumps located in the southside flower bed. All stumps need to be removed in a manner that permanently prevents future growth.
1.1.6 The contractor shall install thirty-nine (39) total Sabal Palm trees, evenly spaced, in the north and south north plant beds. This includes sixteen (16) Sabal Palms in the northwest plant bed, thirteen (13) in the northeast plant bed, and ten (10) in the southeast plant bed.
1.1.8 The contractor shall install pine straw to cover the ground in the northeast, northwest, and the southeast plant bed areas.
1.1.9 The contractor shall provide a two (2) month watering service to establish the New
Sabal Palm. The contractor shall include a replacement guarantee for those trees that do not survive.
Irrigation is no longer necessary for this project.
1.2. PERMITS.
1.2.1. Upon award of this project, the awardee will be responsible to submit a dig permit at the Civil Engineer Squadron (1 SOCES). This process should take up to two (2) weeks to be approved.
1.2.2. Additional information such as POCs and location will be provided upon award.
