About this file
This is a Clarification Questions and Responses document for federal contract solicitation FA440726Q0008 concerning electrical work at USTRANSCOM Building 1900.
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary to complete the project, with pricing provided on an overall basis for materials and installation combined. No base bid, alternates, allowances, or unit prices apply, and no addenda or RFI responses modify the scope. The project involves coordination with a previously awarded furniture company contractor to avoid double-counting of telecom work. Completion is governed by an estimated completion date rather than liquidated damages or interim milestones. Drawings will be provided with all cable test results and are to scale for pathway takeoff purposes. The scope includes 52 CAT6A cabling drops in blue, plenum-rated configuration, along with unshielded OM4 fiber with LC connectors at desk locations. Fiber enclosures must house Duplex LC connections and be installed in Communications Room 267. Conduit installation shall comply with TIA 569E standards. All cabling is located beneath the raised access floor in Room 268, with J-hooks serving as the pathway solution if existing tray is unavailable. Wireless Access Points are not included in this solicitation. Wall penetrations are permitted as needed to complete wall drops and work under the raised access floor.
