1. CLIN 0003 (Podium): Attachment 1 describes a wood podium. Would wood-grain plastic laminate be acceptable?
Plastic laminate with wood grain is acceptable for the CLIN 0003 (Podium)
2. CLIN 0004 (Desks): Attachment 1 describes size to be no more than 40” x 32” with at least 2 drawers. This is a non-standard size. Standard sizes are 30x36 or 30x42. If a pedestal drawer is added, this limits the knee space for seating to approximately 20”/26” respectively. Would a 30”x42” desk be acceptable to ensure minimal room to sit?
Please see revised SOW that identifies new salient characteristics for this desk
CLIN 0005 (Workstations):
3. Attachment 1 mentions an office task chair, but there is no CLIN listed for this chair. Should this be included in the price with CLIN 0005?
This requirement is being removed from the Attachment 1, Office tasks chairs are not required and not included as a CLIN.
4. What is the overall size for the workstations? Attachment 1 mentions a single worksurface measuring 24-36”w x 60-72”l. Given max size here with room for chair, station would be approximately 6’x6’? Do they want an “L” layout for the surfaces like shown in Attachment 3?
Those work surfaces salient characteristics are correct. Vendors may quote L shaped as long as overall work surface is meets the salient characteristics and can fit in required space
5. How many duplex outlets required per station? Attachment 1 mentions “an additional 110 outlet per cube.” Workstation outlets are duplexes (2 plugs per outlet) and are 15 Amps. Neutrals are 10 gauge wires and hot and ground wires are 12 gauge. Is this what they are referencing?
Two duplex outlets are required per workstation. All but one instructor classroom has existing power outlets ran through metal poles to the interior of the room the other one instructor office only has power outlets along the walls. Please see attached pictures of the instructor offices. A site visit is being conducted on 1 September at 1:30 p.m. to allow vendors to survey the existing power conditions.
6. Are we to include data wiring from the server room to each workstation room?
It is the vendor’s responsibility to ensure each workstation has network connectivity. All but one instructor classroom has existing network cabling ran through metal poles from the ceiling to the interior of the room. The other one classroom only has network drops along the wall. It’s up to the contractor to determine if those existing network drops can be used or if new cabling must be run.
Please see attached pictures of the instructor offices. A site visit is being conducted on 1 September 2020 at 1:30 p.m. to allow vendors to survey the existing network cable conditions
7. How many data drops per workstation? Do you use CAT5 or CAT6 cable?
One drop per workstation and CAT6 is the cable requirement
CLIN 0006 (Cabinets):
8. What size is required for cabinets?
The salient characteristics for the 6 filing cabinets have been added as follows: horizontal (lateral) file cabinets, 3 – 4 drawer, 36” – 48” long and 20” – 32” deep AND The salient characteristics for the 6 storage cabinets should be standard full size cabinets approximately 36”W x 18”D x 72”H
9. Attachment 3 shows a cabinet example, but this is actually 2 or 3 cabinets grouped together. Do they want just one of those cabinets (ie: one cabinet that has 3 drawers below and open or closed shelving above)?
We require six filing cabinets and six storage cabinets
10. Attachment 1 lists a total of 5 cabinets, but the CLIN shows 6. How many do they want quoted?
We require six filing cabinets and six storage cabinets
