MEMORANDUM FOR RFQ FA303020QA035

SUBJECT: RFQ FA303020QA035 for Cubicle Style/Classroom Furniture – Amendment 0002
1. The Request for Quote (RFQ) for Cubicle Style/Classroom Furniture Requirement is hereby amended. The following changes/clarifications were made to the Statement of Work/Combined Synopsis Solicitation:
a) Phase 1 student chairs will be vinyl upholstered
b) Phase 1 salient characteristics for classroom/seminar style tables will be High Pressure
Laminate (HPL) surface with metal legs, black paint, sized 18”x60” with flip top mechanism and locking casters for nesting purposes
c) Phase 2 salient characteristics for instructor desks have added as HPL wood color
d) Phase 2 salient characteristics for instructor lecterns/podiums clarifies storage may be in a hinged top or in a compartment underneath and height salient characteristics have been added.
e) Phase 3 cubicle panel wall height has changed from no higher than 36” to 42”. HPL salient characteristic has been added for work surfaces.
f) Phase 3 salient characteristics for filing/storage items has added the items shall be metal with standard paint
g) SOW clarifies contractor is responsible for removing existing power poles/installing new power poles if required
h) SOW clarifies a certified electrician is required to perform power/electrical work to ensure new furniture is powered appropriately
i) SOW clarifies network cabling requirement.
j) Number of power poles per instructor office annotated in statement of work, however, contractors have latitude for removal of existing poles as necessary to make room for their designed layout
k) Rooms 81/83 will not have network cable rerouted to ceiling to accommodate power pole installation. Patch cables may be run from existing drops in the walls
l) Questions and Answers #1 has been revised to account for the revised requirements.
Questions and Answers #2, Statement of work, and SOW revision 2 take precedent regarding any inconsistencies.
m) Reference pictures (attachment 2) has been revised.
n) The quote due date has been extended until 16 September 2020 at 4:30 p.m. Central
Time
2. Attachment 3 - Building Layout has been corrected to show highlighted instructor offices and classrooms. Attachment 1 – Statement of Work has been updated. Attachment 2 – Examples of Items has been revised. All other previous attachments remain valid.
3. Any questions regarding this amendment may be submitted to the undersigned Contracting Officer, Andre Casiano, at andre.casiano@us.af.mil with a courtesy copy to the Contract Specialist, Patrick Berger, at patrick.berger@us.af.mil.
