Re: FA3030-16-R-0002, Site Visit Notes

1. An organized site visit was conducted on 12 Apr 2016 at 10:00am to allow interested contractors to visit the job site to observe current conditions. The site visit began with each individual introducing themselves and identifying the organization they represented. The following individuals attended the site visit:

2. After the introductions were completed everyone walked the area observing the current condition of the pavement at the site. The following information was provided concerning the project:

a. The 315th Training Squadron’s parking lot will remain open and available to its members.

The seed project will be phased closing one side at a time of Canberra St. It is the preference of the Government to be able to phase the project so there will be no interruption of traffic flow.

b. Should the contractor request the entire length of Canberra Street associated with the seed project be closed, the Government must receive a written request within 7 calendar days of the closure in order to make proper coordination.

3. The following is the questions submitted and the Government’s responses:

Question 1. Which direction does the water drain?

Response: The water drainage flows from East to West from the crown at the concrete entry and asphalt pavement meets. From the crown of the concrete to Kearney Blvd. the drainage flows from West to East.

Question 2. Can the Government provide the offerors with the Government’s estimated quantities for the seed project or provide additional access to the base for the purpose of taking measurements for the seed project?

Response: The Government will not provide estimated quantities for the seed project. In Accordance with Section L of the solicitation it is stated to “Complete the Cost Estimate Breakdown Worksheet. Insert proposed estimated quantities, unit prices, and total price for each

A second site visit will be scheduled for 25 Apr 16 at 10:00 AM CST for the purpose of taking measurements for the seed project.
