Task Order Pavements IDIQ

Location: GAFB, Scherz Blvd. between W. Farrow Street & W. Valiant Street

Project #/Title: JCGU 01-1700A, Repair Scherz Blvd.

Scope of Work: The Contractor shall saw cut and remove flexible pavement down 7-1/2”, compact existing base material adding new base material to complete the elevation to within 1-1/2” (inches) of the finish grade of the pavement. Provide new valley gutter at intersections (located on drawing), sidewalks & handicap ramps (see drawing) and curb & gutter that is located on the TE-5 drawing. Provide adjustment of utility valve boxes. Provide new prime coat and overlay with “type D” 1-1/2” ACC. Provide new centerline striping, parking spaces, blocked off areas, and crosswalks at existing locations. Provide new raised reflectors for cross walks and fire hydrants. Striping and reflectors shall match the existing layout.

Phasing Requirements: A traffic control plan shall be submitted and approved by the Contracting Officer and Civil Engineering 14 days prior to the start of work. No deviation to this plan shall be permitted without 7 days prior written approval from Contracting Officer.

Special Requirements/Security/Submittals: The Contractor shall install traffic safety signage as needed throughout the project. Contractor shall ensure all vehicle and pedestrian traffic is routed around the construction area. See AF Form 66.

Desired Task Order Construction Completion Date: 180 Calendar Days

Work Hours: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, exclusive of Federal Holidays

Special Conditions: Side streets shall be accessible to thru traffic throughout the course of the project.
