1. Reference para. 1.5.11: There is no reference to daily reporting and DCO attendance which is currently being performed by the incumbent. Will this continue to be a requirement?
a. There is no paragraph 1.5.11. I believe the contractor is questioning paragraph 1.5.1.1.
b. The daily DCO reporting requirement can be expected for the foreseeable future, but may be relaxed depending on network security posture. Paragraphs 1.12.1.1-4, 2.3.5-6 and section 1.16 also cover this requirement.
2. Reference para 1.2.1: Please define scope of this task. Is the contractor expected to have a Cisco engineer capable of major network re-engineering such as new VLAN mapping, port-security implementation, or subnet redesign?
a. There is no paragraph 1.2.1. I believe the contractor is questioning paragraph 1.20.1.
b. The scope of paragraph 1.20.1 applies to routine maintenance and operational status of the network infrastructure. Minor network design may be required. Major upgrades that would affect all aspects of the base infrastructure do not apply.
3. Reference para. 5.4: Is the CCI solution fully operational to the Government’s satisfaction or will the contractor be required to bring it into a production state?
a. The CCI portion of the thin client environment has had an initial configuration and setup. The contractor will be expected to perform all CCI tasks that could reasonably be expected by a trained/experienced CCI person meeting the qualifications described in paragraph 5.1.
4. 4. Reference para. 10: With the removal of the web programmer, are there any existing database interfaces that will be maintained by the contractor? Since there is no other database administrator position in the PWS, will the government be assuming responsibility for the administration of the SQL databases under the present context of the base SAN?
a. The only mention of SQL server in section 10 was in reference to developing, modifying and maintaining of web interfaces. The interfaces allowed interface and exchange of data with SQL servers. The contractor will not be expected to provide any programming expertise for the maintenance of the Web interfaces.
b. The contractor will not be expected to maintain a SQL server or database skills beyond those expected by a staff meeting the minimum knowledge and skill set as described in paragraph 14.12.
5. General Question: In the absence of a Help Desk functional area, who will be required to perform the existing CFP duties being performed, above the PWS, by the incumbent?
a. Although the CFP is not a work center identified by the PWS, CFP functions are covered by sections 1.2 and 1.5.
6. Reference para. 1.1, 9.4.2: With the removal of the Web Programmer, will the contractor still be required to perform all other non-programming web functions currently assigned to the incumbent, such as AF Portal Base Administrator and trainer?
a. Web functions as described by paragraphs 1.1 and 9.4.2 to include AF portal Base Administrator and trainer will be transitioned to another office within the unit.
