About this file

This is a Pre-Bid Questions and Answers document for the Replace NPS Dorms Locksets project (MAHG261001) under contract FA301026R0005.

The document addresses four clarifying questions regarding the lockset replacement project. The existing locksets are Onity HT models as specified in Section J of the solicitation. Eight buildings require special attention due to elongated strikes and backing plates: B4408 (232 locks), B7315 (201 locks), B7330 (215 locks), B6950 (199 locks), B6955 (200 locks), B7420 (200 locks), B7320 (200 locks), and B6965 (197 locks). The existing backing plates, originally installed to cover old lock holes from a previous system, can be reused or altered by the awarded contractor as needed. Avery Manor (B4408) is confirmed to have long strike plates. This document provides essential technical clarifications for contractors preparing bids on the dormitory lockset replacement work.
