Evaluation: The Government will perform price and technical evaluation as prescribed in this provision. An offer will be issued to the vendor whose quote, determined technically acceptable, features the lowest price determined complete, fair, and reasonable.
(b) Options. The Government will evaluate quotes for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. The Government may determine that a quote is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s).
For Price evaluation purposes, the Government will assess the option to extend services under far clause 52.217-8 by applying the unit prices from the final ordering period to the extension period. Vendors are required to price only the ordering periods; do not include pricing for the potential six-month extension period.
Task orders issued under this IDIQ are subject to FAR clause 52.217-8 and will use the pricing applicable to the task order's corresponding ordering period.
(c) An offer by the Government may be accepted, rejected, or countered by the vendor. An acceptance of the Government's offer shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party.
