About this file
This document is a Question and Answer (Q&A) form for the SXHT 24-9000 project to Construct Weapons Maintenance Addition at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida. The Q&A addresses technical clarifications about the project, including existing building conditions, electrical systems, fire alarm and suppression systems, and construction requirements. Key clarifications include that the building addition's slab and envelope are already constructed, existing panelboards will be reused with some modifications, and the transformer powers the entire building. The government will relocate existing furnishings that interfere with construction, and no personnel will be relocated during the project.
The Q&A also provides important administrative details, such as the bid submission process (electronic submission only to specific email addresses), bid due date of 14 July 2025, and confirmation that this is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside contract with a project value between $1-5 million. Contractors are responsible for special inspections (TAB and Fire Alarm), temporary generator costs, and coordinating work around base operations. The project involves modifications to HVAC, electrical systems, and potentially some exterior work like raising the transformer pad and installing chain link fencing.

However, drawings AD010, A-021, along with the other Architectural drawings, make it look like the addition’s slab and outer CMU walls are already constructed. Drawing A-021 Keyed Notes show “existing” roof, gutters, etc. on the addition. Can clarification be provided as to what is actually currently existing, what needs to be demolished and what shall be new?
