About this file
The document is a set of Questions and Answers (Q&A) related to a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the Central Florida Rail Corridor (CFRC) Lake Monroe Drawbridge Painting project. The RFP seeks proposals for painting the drawbridge, with the contractor responsible for removing and reinstalling certain wood planks to access the areas requiring painting. The RFP includes several addendums outlining changes to the timeline, and directs all questions to the FDOT District Five Procurement Office. Prospective bidders must be registered in the State of Florida's MyFloridaMarketplace system and properly licensed if the work requires it.
The contract opportunity is limited to the state of Florida, specifically Volusia County. The RFP includes requirements for out-of-state companies to be authorized to do business in Florida. The contract will be subject to a 1% MyFlorida Marketplace transaction fee, unless the transaction is exempt under the applicable Florida Administrative Code. No additional details are provided regarding pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding sources, or contract values.

ADVERTISEMENT NUMBER: DOT-RFP-22-5007-LMBP
DESCRIPTION: Central Florida Rail Corridor (CFRC) Lake Monroe Drawbridge Painting
DATE: 2/24/2022
Clarification on Questions and Answers #6, Question 3
3. Will the wood deck plank adjacent to the sidewalk be removed and reinstalled by the Owner so paint work can be accessed?
Answer posted 2/23/2022: If the wood deck plank in the question refers to bridge ties, they will not be moved. Clean and paint the top flanges between the ties.
Clarification request: In reference to question #3 in Q & A #6: We were not referring to bridge ties we were referring to the wood planks that go the length of the bridge.
Additional Clarification: Contractor to remove planks prior to cleaning and painting. CFRC will replace when work is complete.
