About this file

This document is a Quality Requirements specification for FermiForward, dated October 2025, which outlines comprehensive quality assurance (QA) guidelines for subcontractors. The primary document and its appendices establish detailed requirements for a Corporate Quality Assurance Plan, mandating that subcontractors provide a structured approach to managing, controlling, and documenting work to ensure compliance with contract specifications. Key requirements include designating a QA representative, implementing quality control processes, conducting pre-work, in-process, and final inspections, managing submittals and approvals, documenting nonconforming work, maintaining records, and performing corrective and preventive actions.

The document provides a standardized QA Plan template for contractors who do not have their own, covering critical aspects such as roles and responsibilities, quality objectives, inspection and testing protocols, documentation requirements, and project closeout procedures. The plan emphasizes delivering work that complies with project specifications and approved drawings, preventing rework, maintaining consistent workmanship, and ensuring that all personnel are trained in quality requirements. Contractors must agree to adopt the QA Plan, understanding that failure to comply may result in rework, payment withholding, or contract termination.
