Projects may be:

• Multi-disciplinary or specialized engineering expertise.

• Services related to specific project phases.

Deliverables may include:

• Documentation of existing conditions for repair, maintenance, or alteration scopes of work.

• Detailed drawings, specifications, Class 1 cost estimates, schedules, and a Statement of Work—all prepared for competitive firm fixed-price or time and material procurement.

Interior Design, Furniture, and Furnishings

This category covers a variety of projects, ranging from minor space modifications to complete reconfigurations and modernizations of departments or divisions.

Task Requests may involve:

• Multi-disciplinary or specialized engineering expertise.

• Comprehensive, spanning planning, design, and construction administration.

• Services related to specific project phases.

Deliverables may include:

• Renderings and Construction Document Packages.

• Detailed drawings, specifications, Class 1 cost estimates, schedules, and a Statement of Work—all prepared for competitive firm fixed-price procurement.

Furniture and furnishings will generally be from the GSA schedule and will require layouts, specifications, and vendor proposals. Maintaining existing building standards may be required.

Building Code and Life Safety Tasks in this category will provide multi-disciplinary building and safety services and will cover plan review and analysis of projects, inspections, and investigations, as well as incidental services that the professionals providing those services may logically or justifiably perform to determine conformance to the International Building Code, The Architectural Barriers Act (ABA), the Fermilab Environment, Safety and Health Manual (FESHM) for building construction, and OSHA 1910 and 1926.

Task Requests may involve:

• Interpretation of code sections to assist with the Fermilab Design Review process.

• Evaluation of code compliance at isolated components or full building or major renovations.

Deliverables may include:

• Reports and documentations providing opinions on code or regulation sections.

• Inspection of substantially complete construction for code and safety compliance required for issuance of Authorization for Use and Possession (AUP).

Quality Scope Requirements For each task category, the Subcontractor may be required to submit a Corporate Quality Control Plan with each Task Order proposal. This plan will detail the means and methods the Subcontractor may be required use to ensure that the work meets an acceptable quality level specified in the Task Order proposals.

Tasks may be required to include the appropriate levels of “Value Engineering” and “Quality Control” to assure that the final product complies with the applicable codes and standards and conforms to the technical requirements of the project. The Subcontractor is responsible for the coordination of the design across all disciplines and all quality assurance of work produced by the Subcontractor and their sub-tier subcontractors.

Quality Control for the 100 percent document submittal shall be accomplished by the Subcontractor prior to transmitting to FermiForward.
