About this file
This document outlines a federal solicitation for design-build services to renovate courtroom 521 at the Charles L. Brieant Jr. Courthouse in White Plains, New York. The General Services Administration intends to issue a request for proposal for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment and professional services to plan, design and construct renovations to the approximately 3,100 square foot courtroom. Minimum objectives include developing construction documents to specifications and completing selective demolition and construction to match recently renovated courtrooms on the 6th floor. Electrical, audiovisual, security and IT infrastructure must be modified as required. The period of performance is 448 calendar days from notice of award. The contract is set aside for small businesses and will be a firm-fixed price contract under NAICS code 236220 with a $39.5 million size standard. Proposals will be evaluated using best value tradeoff and must address experience, past performance, staffing and price. The construction value is estimated between $1-5 million. Discussions are not intended but may be held if in the government's interest.
