About this file

This document is a question and response record related to a fire alarm monitoring system upgrade solicitation (HHS0016991) issued by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission for the San Angelo State Supported Living Center. The project involves the installation of Notifier Fire System devices across nine buildings at the facility. The scope of work includes labor, testing of new devices, and a one-year warranty on fire alarm parts, with the work representing a one-for-one swap of existing fire alarm devices. The contract term extends from the date of award through August 31, 2026.

Bidders are required to submit a total price for all nine buildings on the General Details tab of Exhibit C Pricing Sheet (row 44), with the option to provide a building-by-building price breakdown for reference. The submission should include labor costs, device testing, and the mandatory one-year warranty in the total price quote. Any work or devices beyond the scope of the one-for-one device replacement would require a separate change order. The effective date of this response document is June 26, 2015, with a review date of September 18, 2025.

1. Exhibit C Pricing Sheet, are we just to put our total price for this job under the price sheet General Details tab "What is the price for Notifier Fire System Device Installation services at San Angelo State Supported Living Center? Service term: "Date of Award" through 08/31/2026" ? Or under the Line Details tab?
Yes, please list your total price for the full job on the General Details tab, on row 44. You can also put this full price on the Line Details tab. If you would like to include a copy of your own quote with a building-by-building price breakdown that is appreciated.

2. Just want to be clear HHS is asking for one total price for all 9 buildings?
We do need the total for all buildings, but if it was broke down by building that would be helpful as well.

3. This is just a One for One swap of fire alarm devices? No additional work and or devices?
If any other devices or labor are required a change order will be required. The proposal should include labor, testing the new devices, and one-year warranty for the new fire alarm parts.
