About this file

This document is Addendum #2 to Request for Proposal (RFP) #303-2-01738 for Refrigeration Repairs and Services issued by the Texas Facilities Commission (TFC). The RFP seeks to provide refrigeration repairs and maintenance services for ice machines, walk-in coolers/freezers, and other commercial appliances located in various facilities throughout Texas, with most services performed in Austin. TFC anticipates multiple awards from this solicitation. The contract term is from the date of execution through August 31, 2026, with options to renew for two additional two-year periods. The solicitation schedule includes a mandatory pre-proposal conference on October 8 and 9, 2024, a deadline for questions on October 11, 2024, and a proposal submission deadline of October 22, 2024 at 3:00 PM CT.

The addendum updates the language in the service contract to reflect that a single job/project may include multiple tasks, and it clarifies the requirements for payment and performance bonds. Specifically, payment and performance bonds are required if a single job/project amount exceeds $100,000, and a payment bond is required if a single job/project amount exceeds $25,000. Contractors must provide documentation for the cost of these bonds when submitting quotes for services.
