About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details hydrostatic testing requirements for JAU-8 Male (10551448 REV K) and Female (10551449 REV J) Bodies for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD). The testing involves a 2% sample of parts that must be subjected to 14,000-15,000 PSI pressure for a minimum of 15 seconds, with a pass/fail criteria of no pressure loss, deformation, or mechanical failure. Additional requirements include assembling parts with thread protection, cleaning and passivating per ASTM A380/A380M standards, and submitting Certificates of Compliance.

The contractor must perform in-house visual inspections and maintain quality control documentation for at least one year after contract completion. Final acceptance will be determined by the Government through 100% sample inspection at the government destination. The SOW allows the government discretion to accept defects on a case-by-case basis and potentially increase inspection sample sizes if deemed necessary to validate any discrepancies or issues.
