NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS

RE: MT PHILLIPS 201(1),

Old Highway 2 and Bridge Replacement Solicitation No. DTFH70-15-B-00023

The attached preliminary plans are being furnished to aid prospective Bidders in identifying the location and type of work for this project. The project will be advertised during a period when viewing of the project may not be possible due to snow. Therefore, prospective Offerors are encouraged to view the project during fall as conditions permit. After October 31, 2015 access will be weather dependent; contact the Phillips County, Montana Roadway Department for current road conditions at (406) 654-2429. No Federal Highway Administration personnel will be available for show-me tours.

Project Location and Type of Work – The project work is located in Phillips County, Montana near the Bowdoin National Wildlife Refuge. Bowdoin National Wildlife Refuge is approximately 7 miles east of the town of Malta, MT, on Old Highway 2. Old Highway 2 is the only access into Bowdoin National Wildlife Refuge. The asphalt surface into the refuge has deteriorated and is very rough to drive. The project is to rehabilitate the pavement and drainage for:

Old Highway 2 Bowdoin Road access road into the refuge Replacement of the Dodson South Canal Bridge Improve drainage
