About this file
This is a Data Item Description (DID) document that establishes the format and content requirements for Government Furnished Material (GFM) inventory reporting by National Stock Number (NSN). DI-PSSS-80727A, approved on September 16, 2019, supersedes the previous version DI-ILSS-80727 and is assigned AMSC Number 10090 under Project Number PSSS-2019-015. The DID's purpose is to provide visibility of GFM inventories by NSN and Part Number for contract performance management.
The data deliverable must organize GFM items hierarchically by contract number, then by contract line item number (CLIN) or exhibit line item number (ELIN), and finally by individual GFM line item. Contractors may submit the information in either electronic media format specified by the Acquirer or in contractor-preferred format. Required content for each GFM item includes: contract number; applicable CLIN or ELIN; NSN and Part Number; inventory requirements and usage rates established to meet contract performance; quantity on hand; unit price; existing Government inventory managed against contractual requirements; existing Government inventory held in excess of requirements; narrative rationale for any items recommended to remain in excess position; and proposed actions for reuse or disposal of excess Government inventory. The DID contains no reference documents and applies to all GFM items in the complete inventory.
