About this file

This is a Data Item Description (DID) document that defines the requirements for Technical Data Package (TDP) deliverables. The DID (DI-SESS-80776B) outlines the format and content requirements for TDPs, which serve as authoritative technical descriptions of items needed for acquisition, production, inspection, engineering, and logistics purposes.

The document specifies that TDPs must include elements like engineering design data (conceptual, developmental, product, or commercial), special inspection equipment data, special tooling data, specifications, software documentation, special packaging instructions, and quality assurance provisions. Key technical content requirements include details of unique processes, performance ratings, dimensional data, critical manufacturing processes, assembly sequences, material identification, inspection criteria, calibration requirements, hardware marking requirements, and vendor substantiation data. The format can be either Government-specified or contractor format as indicated in the TDP Option Selection Worksheet.
