About this file

This is Addendum 02 to a Centralized Request for Quote (CRFQ) issued by the State of West Virginia Department of Administration Purchasing Division for the Department of Agriculture. The project involves construction of a concrete pad and sidewalk for an FFA Shelter at Cedar Lakes in Moorefield, West Virginia. A mandatory pre-bid meeting was held on March 1, 2024, at 10:00 AM EST, with vendor questions due by March 7, 2024, at 2:00 PM EST. The original bid opening date of March 14, 2024, has been extended to March 21, 2024, with bid opening time remaining at 1:30 PM EST. The addendum provides responses to fifteen vendor questions addressing site conditions, material specifications, drainage requirements, and facility capabilities, clarifying project requirements such as the use of orange mesh construction fencing, the contractor's responsibility for compaction and concrete testing, the use of #57 crushed gravel for the base, a 4,000-psi concrete mix with air content for exterior application with a broom finish, and the installation of drainage piping and future gutter connection provisions.

No pricing information, set-asides, incumbent contractor details, or specific funding amounts are disclosed in this addendum. The file confirms that Cedar Lakes is located outside city limits and that Business and Occupancy taxes do not apply. The contractor is responsible for obtaining fill dirt and soil from external sources, with on-site spoil locations and concrete wash-out areas to be identified by the Cedar Lakes Maintenance Project Manager. The addendum acknowledges receipt requirements and notes that failure to acknowledge all addenda may result in bid disqualification. Larry D. McDonnell, the buyer, can be reached at 304-558-2063 or larry.d.mcdonnell@wv.gov for additional information.
