About this file
This document is a Task Assignment Notification Form (SL012.001) issued by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to Tallahassee Title Group, LLC for services related to the Bureau of Public Land Administration. The task assignment covers all regions of Florida and involves various property ownerships under the managing agency of the Division of State Lands (DSL). The contractor's assigned contract manager is Joseph Boyd/Jamie Temples, with Casey Jones serving as the DEP Designated Task Manager and Susan Branch as the DEP Contract Manager. The task assignment was dated October 31, 2022, with a service period running from October 31, 2022, through June 30, 2023.
The primary service involves processing escrow payments for the Bureau of Public Land Administration according to the procedures outlined in Exhibit "A." The contractor, functioning as a Senior Closer, receives escrow deposits from potential purchasers for upfront fees related to appraisals, surveys, and title work, then deposits these funds into a noninterest-bearing account within 24 hours and disburses them as directed by DEP to appropriate parties. The contractor bills DEP monthly at a contracted rate of $60.00 per hour, with a total task assignment value of $2,750.00 on a fee schedule basis. The contract includes a comprehensive price schedule for title products and closing services with fixed prices ranging from $50.00 to $400.00 per service item, as well as hourly rates for specialized services ($50.00 to $175.00 per hour). The deliverable requires the contractor to provide documentation of deposits and activities, with weekly accounting spreadsheets submitted to the Bureau of Public Land Administration. DEP will not compensate for unsatisfactory deliverables, but the contractor has the right to remedy deficiencies at no cost to DEP.
